“When it’s you to work the soil, to plant the cuttings, to irrigate and see growing day after day, until the early shoots and then the harvest, everything takes a different flavor, more intense. Thinking about the field that was and the vineyard which it has become, I can only be proud of our work and our effort. The result is our reward. And this result is called Gewürztraminer “Vigna Caselle,” a wine that gives itself completely in the nose and in the mouth with its harmonious and complex scents.”

Vigna Caselle” is the name of the volcanic rock based soil vineyard in Cembra Valley situated at 450 m a.s.l. This Gewürztraminer grows on a unique and fascinating bank of the Avisio river. The microclimate of the area influenced by the cool currents of the Avisio valleys, the mineral constitution of the soil, the low yield per hectare (60 q/ha) and the harvest date are the key elements that make unique and unmistakable the scents and the bouquet of Vigna Caselle Gewürztraminer.

The soil is mainly composed of volcanic rocks and sedimentary deposits created by the action of glaciers and erosion of the Avisio river.

The average age of vines, grown on the guyot system, is around 15 years.

The harvest is done entirely by hand in cases during the month of September when the grapes are slightly over ripe.
