FROM THE VINEYARD…
The SotSàs cuvée literally “under the stone” is the synthesis of three terroir and three varieties that are part of Maso Cantanghel: Pinot Bianco grows in Serso (Pergine Valsugana – 650 m a.s.l.), Chardonnay of Vigna Caselle (Cembra – 450 m a.s.l.) and Sauvignon Blanc of Vigna Cantanghel (Civezzano – 500 m a.s.l.). This wine owes its name to the cliffs beneath which lie the vineyards. The noble blend of Maso Cantanghel gives himself with elegant aromas, complexity and structure, cream and softness, which can be appreciated even after several years of aging.
Three soils and three terroirs that enhance the mineral notes of this wine and they are image of the mountain and genuine viticulture of Trentino. The soils are partly sandy with the presence of quartz (Serso), chalky (Vigna Cantanghel) and volcanic (Vigna Caselle).
The average age of vines, grown on the guyot system, is around 15 years.
The harvest is done entirely by hand in cases in the second half of September when the grapes are perfectly ripe.
Maso Cantanghel has been certified organic since 2012, marked by the number ITBIO005V259.
